HBIS High Quality Special Steel Assists in Building China's Fifth Antarctic Scientific Research Station
Jul 19, 2023
Recently, a batch of high-quality weather resistant and corrosion-resistant steel plates Q355NHE customized by HBIS for customers arrived at the production site smoothly. After testing, the technical indicators of the products were superior to similar products in the industry, reaching the leading level in the industry. After deep processing, the products will be used for the construction of key parts of China's fifth Antarctic scientific research station - Ross Sea New Station.
HBIS Sales focuses on the "four more concerns", targeting high-end markets and customers with precise efforts. Relying on the advantages of HBIS's production, sales, and research platform, it continuously improves its ability to serve key engineering projects in national key fields, satisfies customers' differentiated needs through customized production, and continuously enhances product market competitiveness.
In response to the customer's requirement to highlight the product characteristics of low temperature and corrosion resistance of steel plates, the sales and production units of HBIS have strengthened collaboration, relying on the integrated production, sales, and research model of HBIS, coordinating technical, marketing, and production personnel to form a customer service team, and intervening in the preliminary design and other aspects of the project in advance to fully meet customer needs. During research and development, team members innovatively optimized production processes, strengthened quality control of process execution, and successfully developed high-quality weather resistant and corrosion-resistant steel plates with low temperature corrosion resistance, tensile strength, yield strength, and other indicators that exceeded customer expectations.

The new Ross Sea Station is the fifth Antarctic scientific research station in China. As an important task of the "Snow Dragon Pole Exploration" Megaproject, the new station will have the comprehensive observation and monitoring capability of "one station with multiple capabilities" after completion, and will fill the gap of China's investigation stations in the Southwest Antarctic region.
