HOT-DIP GALVANIZING PRODUCTION LINE TRAINING —— BOOSTS CUSTOM ROLL MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY

Mar 26, 2025

Recently, HONGKONG TING XUAN INDUSTRIAL CO., LIMITED hosted a professional training session focused on hot-dip galvanizing production lines. The training covered topics such as the classification and development of continuous hot-dip galvanizing lines for strip steel, the main components of the production line, process flow, key parameters, and layout diagrams. A significant portion of the training was dedicated to explaining the working principles and maintenance strategies of various types of rolls used in hot-dip galvanizing production, including furnace rolls, pinch rolls, tension rolls, steering rolls, and particularly the three critical zinc pot rolls-sink roll, stabilizer roll, and correction roll. This training not only enhanced employees' technical knowledge but also provided valuable support for our company's customized production of wear-resistant rolls.

The training began with an introduction to the classification and development history of continuous hot-dip galvanizing lines for strip steel. Through a detailed comparison of advanced domestic and international technologies, participants learned how hot-dip galvanizing technology has evolved over time, driving advancements in the industry. Among the key equipment in these production lines, rolls play a crucial role. Due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures, heavy loads, and corrosive environments, rolls are highly susceptible to wear and damage, making regular replacement and proper maintenance essential.

Next, the training focused on the main components of the hot-dip galvanizing production line. Engineers provided a detailed explanation of the production process, equipment parameters, and layout design principles. From raw material pretreatment to final product formation, each stage relies on precise roll operation. Particularly in the coating process, the sink roll, stabilizer roll, and correction roll in the zinc pot endure harsh working conditions, often becoming bottlenecks that affect product quality and production line stability. Through real-world case studies, engineers demonstrated how selecting the right materials, optimizing processing techniques, and implementing customized manufacturing solutions can significantly improve the durability and stability of rolls.

During the session, engineers also provided an in-depth analysis of the working principles of different types of rolls in hot-dip galvanizing production lines. For instance, furnace rolls are crucial for heating and transporting steel strips, with their surface temperature and heat transfer efficiency directly affecting product quality. Pinch rolls and tension rolls ensure smooth transportation of steel strips during production, while steering rolls correct deviations to maintain dimensional accuracy. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of regular inspection and preventive maintenance for sink rolls, stabilizer rolls, and correction rolls in the coating process. Additionally, our company's customized roll manufacturing solutions were introduced to offer clients more durable and efficient products.
