The characteristics of surface plates are:

SUS304 is an austenitic steel with very good corrosion resistance and welding properties.
SS633 is a hardened martensitic chromium steel with high resistance to various forms of plate damage, such as indentations, scratches, etc. Low thermal expansion reduces the risk of deformation.
Transport and wear plate
An exceptionally long service life under difficult conditions has made the transport and wear plates from Avesta Press Plate highly appreciated, the steel grades Avesta A9 and A10 have been specially developed for the hardboard industry. The good dimensional stability of the plates guarantees optimal economy for the user.

Press Plates
Thanks to their superior quality, hardened plates for decorative laminates from Press Plate have captured steadily increasing market shares all over the world.
The lowest possible slag content is one of the main requirements for press plates for decorative laminates. Our Press Plate meets this requirement by ESR- Remelting the ingot from which the plate is then rolled. Flatness is another important requirement on plate for decorative laminates. Our Press Plate achieves this by treating the unground plate in a specially designed for this purpose.
Steel grade
SS633 is a hardened martensitic chromium steel with high resistance to various forms of plate damage, such as indentations, scratches, etc. It has unique properties that make the plate highly suitable for grinding, polishing, mat finishing, embossing and chromium-plating. Low thermal expansion reduces the risk of deformation. It is very suitable for chromium-plating since the difference in linear expansion of the steel and the chromium layer is small.
